From water enthusiasts to the nature lovers, Snyder's Lake has something to offer everyone. Boating, water skiing, kayaking or the opportunity to relax at the end of the day with a beautiful sunset. For the angler, the lake has a wide variety of fish present including Bluegill, Brown Bullhead (catfish), Black Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Pumpkin-seed, Perch, Walleye and Pickerel. And for the bird watchers, Snyder's Lake is an ideal habitat to see (and hear) a diverse mix of bird species including Great Blue Herons, Common Merganser, Sandpipers and a couple of recently sited Bald Eagles. 


North Greenbush Town Beach 

The Town of North Greenbush oversees the activities and operations at the Town Beach located on Snyder’s Lake, including pavilion rentals, season beach passes and summer camp registration/employment. Public Boat Launch 

There is a public boat launch for “car-top” boats only located at the North Greenbush Town Beach. Car-top boats can be easily transported on the roof of a passenger motor vehicle. Boats that fall into this category include most canoes and kayaks as well as small fishing or row boats and inflatable boats.
